Malabar Hill Capital's land development projects involve acquiring land and obtaining the necessary entitlements, such as approvals and permits, before seeking construction financing. One of the key advantages of our approach is that the value of entitled land often appreciates significantly, covering the down payment for the loan. This minimizes the need for additional fundraising. Investors also benefit from any equity generated from the sale of excess entitled land and pad sites.

At Malabar Hill Capital, we aim to maximize profits in land development by capitalizing on the intrinsic value of undervalued or underutilized properties. We consider three dimensions in determining the intrinsic land value: the current value, the highest and best use of the land, and the future value.
